On July 7th, Performance Section 5 of Wind Kick 2023 officially aired with the first round – a direct face-off (PK) between members of different alliances. Chi Pu, representing the Ella alliance, delivered a stunning and fiery duel on stage with Tạ Hân, representing the Amber alliance. Their performance to the song “Swing” mesmerized the audience with their visually captivating dance moves.
Regarding the decision to have Chi Pu appear in a combat round against Tạ Hân, Ella explained, “She wanted to burn brightly on the stage. Furthermore, Chi Pu also wanted people to see her from a different perspective. Therefore, I thought the song ‘Swing’ would allow Chi Pu to showcase this.”
Notably, Chi Pu’s pole dancing segment received high praise from the audience. Beyond fans’ expectations, the Vietnamese representative flawlessly executed challenging dance moves, showcasing her skills that were on par with Tạ Hân, who was considered to have the most outstanding dancing abilities in the program.
To achieve an excellent pole dancing performance, Chi Pu revealed that she encountered an accident and fell from a high pole during rehearsals. Despite the injury, the singer did not complain but made efforts to deliver an outstanding performance.
Having been previously loved for her gentle and feminine style, Chi Pu now undergoes a transformation and leaves a strong impression with a more powerful image.
As a result, Chi Pu’s outstanding performance secured the first victory for the Ella alliance. The Vietnamese singer received 506 votes, while Tạ Hân only garnered 479 votes.
After the program aired, Chi Pu once again topped the list of the most searched topics in China on July 7th. The audience showered praise on Chi Pu’s performance, stating, “Great dance performance, unmatched by anyone else,” and expressing their trust in Chi Pu’s abilities.
In the next round, the Performance Section 5 of Wind Kick 2023, Chi Pu will compete in another face-off – a 1:1:1 PK, facing off against Amber and Alin on the Lonely Dance stage. The performance will be revealed on July 8th.
